Lincoln St.
Resident Dies at St. Therese
After Illness of 1 Week
Charles H.
McCorkle, 70, of 811 Lincoln St., died yesterday at 11: 45 P.M. at St.
Therese Hospital following an illness of one week.
He was born in Lafayette, Ind., Dec 23 1880, and lived in Lake County
for the past 28 years. He was a member of the Antioch
American Legion Post 748. Mr. McCorkle was employed at
Abbott Laboratories, North Chicago,
as an elevator operator.
Surviving are his wife, Anne; five daughters, Mrs. George Wiltrakis of
St. Charles, Ill., Mrs. Lawrence Willis of Zion, Mrs. Curtiss Hadlich of
Waukegan, Mrs. Donald Sutphen of Chicago and Mrs. George Kegeler of
Plainwell, Mich., a brother, Burton of Wakarusa, Indiana; a sister,
Mrs. John Heid of Bensenville, ILL.,
and three grandchildren.
The body
is at the funeral home at 1521 Washington St., where friends may call
after 7 PM today. Services will be held there at 2 PM Wednesday
with burial in
Northshore Garden of Memories.
